Reprehensible Temper

Reprehensible Temper is a visual representation of the emotional outrage that everyone experiences and manages in drastically different ways. Individuals who have emotional intelligence and regulation are able to recognize those feelings and cope with them in order to communicate with respect and effectively as possible while in that state of mind. They are able to continue to work toward a goal, even though they may want to tear things to pieces. Individuals who have not learned those skills let the outrage bubble to the surface and proceed to throw a temper tantrum of humiliating proportions. I believe this is a good representation of the outrage felt inside that I have spent years trying to learn cope with and keep in check. The absolute disarray of color, strokes, and an expression of enraged screaming all contribute to a feeling of contained chaos. It is important to learn to be the boss of those feelings and take responsibility for our own reactions, not every situation deserves a firm hand. Origianl is acrylic on 18”x24” canvas. (Original)
