Back Story:

This piece is meant to invoke feelings of self-assurance, confidence, and lust. The background is emotionally based in anger, frustration, and desire while the foreground settles in an aggressive elegance that you can only ever find in a Devil woman. For this piece, I was struggling with feelings of inadequacy, like I was lacking somehow, and that I wasn't beautiful. I very quickly decided "Screw That!" and painted the feelings that I wanted to have instead, forcing myself to remember the femme fatale inside.
