Back Story:

After a long days’ worth of work, I sat down at my studio desk and just started working. I had been struggling mentally recently, with many things to do and personal life weighing down on me. I pulled out a piece of paper and got to work with charcoal. This piece went by very quickly, nearly in a daze, and felt like mental vomit all over the page. I don’t mean that in a negative manner, I really enjoyed the end result when I came back to see my work the next morning. I was surprised to see what I had created, but I could also sit back and enjoy the emotion captured on the page, driven by the need to release pent up emotions and energy.
