In Loving Memory of Innocents

This piece was created to explore the impact of dull and bright colors and the effect that can be achieved by using both. Attention is brought to the flames and ashes blowing in the wind because of the pureness of its mixture and impact, this fire is the glow of innocents, this is where the memory of years past is found. The rest of the woods are pushed back through the use of muting colors because that’s the effect that the world can have on us as we expose ourselves more and more to the grind of living. The colors get diluted. The dull woods are not the essence of this piece, the woods and the muted colors are not the focus; That glow, that hope, and light is what it is to be a child and remain innocent, all of us hope to keep those embers burning.
